HydroPak portable power generator

[CES 2008] Let's face the fact - most of us carry more than our fair share of gadgets these days that powering them can be quite a hassle, especially when we're off on a long road trip. The HydroPak portable power generator hopes to lighten your load by using a combination of both fuel cells as well as water-activated cartridges courtesy of Millennium Cell and Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies respectively. A HydroPak with a single cartridge is good enough to recharge an average laptop up to 10 times without the need for a power outlet, making it perfect for those traveling to faraway countries. You can check out the HydroPak at CES next week, and it will be commercially available from Q3 onwards this year. The HydroPak retails for $400 while individual cartridges cost $20.
