Is Doom Too Violent For The OLPC?

Some feel that Doom is way too violent and that it should not be associated in any way to the OLPC, a low-cost computer that is supposed to improve child education in developing countries. Others think that “Doom can teach geometry and other skills to kids”.
“Teach Geometry”, what?? It is true that doom can teach how to find your way in a 3D maze, and that blasting a moving demon across a level requires serious interpolation skills, but that’s probably the worst argument that I have heard on the subject.
