Jade glass launch announced
Posted on: January 03, 2008
Corning Inc. has announced its' Jade glass launch, bringing a fusion-formed glass with "high thermal stability, uniquely designed to address the high-end, feature-rich mobile device market." Jade doesn't require secondary heat treatment or polishing unlike glass substrates made by other suppliers since it uses low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) applications and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that solve challenges met by the mobile device industry. Unlike glass substrates made by other suppliers, Jade needs no secondary heat treatment or polishing to meet the demanding surface and thermal stability requirements of the LTPS and OLED manufacturing process. With more and more portable devices making headway, the future certainly looks bright for Jade glass. [Press Release]
