Limepc Widescreen

[CES 2008] All-in-one PCs are pretty nice to look at, but then again they aren't very upgrade friendly when you think about it. Limepc doesn't want to miss out on the game by unveiling the Limepc Widescreen that comes in an all-in-one form factor complete with a keyboard for your typing needs. The unit on display did not have the TruSound speakers attached to it, and under the bright lights, you can tell that this is a major fingerprint magnet. Features of the Limepc Widescreen include :-

  • 17" glossy widescreen LCD display
  • 16:10 aspect ratio
  • TruSound speakers
  • 350mm x 410mm x 60mm
  • 4 kg

Hubert, this is Luck from gadgetaholic.com. Anyhow, when I talked to the LimePC people, they informed me that the computer is not an all-in-once PC since the computer is actually inside that little box besides the screen. It's more like a computer in a box that you can attach monitor and other devices to it.

I had to talk to several people to get the correct information because none of them spoke English really well.

i dont think many outside of the geek crowd care about upgradability. from what i understand, the vista install base is growing thanks to the sale of new computers, not upgrades.

so all in all, all in one computers makes sense.

hell, maybe we should stop thinking about computers as a gray box that can do 1001 things depending on what you stuff in it, and more of a 1001 boxes doing different defined things depending on what room its in and what its connected to?
