MoBeam Keychain Barcode is the iPod for Coupons

[DEMO 08] Ecrio’s MoBeam is a small device that can store coupons transferred via Bluetooth. The coupons can originate from many sources, including a cellphone (downloaded from the web/email/SMS) or a coupon-broadcasting station at a retailer. The device is capable of sending light signals that emulate the reflection of a paper barcode to a normal barcode reader. That’s good news for the retailer because there’s no need for expensive equipment expenditures.

From there, it’s not hard to imagine a PC application and an iTunes equivalent of local coupons… Is this “Coupons 2.0”? Also, if that leads to having less SPAM in my (physical) mailbox, that would be great!
