Nanotechnology Improves On Solar Panel

Published on 01/31/2008

Solar panels are nothing short of expensive and not very efficient, but thankfully nanotechnology could reverse the latter by printing a material's surface with tiny nano-antennae which capture infra-red radiation at an 80% efficiency, even long after dusk has engulfed the surroundings. Each antenna comes with a small capacitor or AC/DC converter in order to capture those electrons which are then turned into electricity. Hopefully a commercial version won't compromise on performance with cost.
