N-Trig enhances DuoSense technology

Posted on Jan 17, 08 01:57 AM PDT

Looks like multi-touch interface is big money these days, thanks to the iPhone. N-Trig has enhanced its DuoSense technology which allows users to take advantage of multiple simultaneous touch points, and is primarily used to manipulate images on the computer screen as shown in the video above. Sounds pretty much like how the iPhone works, where you pinch an image to zoom in, while doing it the other way round to zoom out. Not only that, your fingers are used to move and shuffle around images, objects and data in a rather effortless manner, although the video showed a certain degree of lag. It would be interesting to see which OEM will implement N-trig’s DuoSense technology into their computing devices in the near future.

Strange that the scroll gesture becomes a zoom gesture in Google maps.. I suppose the finger scroll does what the scrollwheel normally does... and rotating while holding the control key? That is really badly thought out.
Apple's rotating is more logical.

the lag was caused by the laptop, which is of a low spec. Placed on a high spec, the lag should be gone.
