Pinnacle Video Transfer

Called Pinnacle Video Transfer, this small device can record a video source directly into an MPEG4/H.264 format that is said to be compatible with mobile devices like the PSP or the iPod video. The device is said to be able to record onto any USB 2.0 storage device, without the assistance of a computer. (We suppose that the USB device must be Windows Mass-Storage compliant, but we don’t know for sure).

Highlights
  • 720x480/576 maximum recording resolution
  • 4.843” x 2.638” x 0.906”
  • Inputs: S-Video, Composite video, stereo audio
  • Price: $130
  • Pinnacle website

It IS a copy of iRecord. But I believe that iRecord supports more devices like the Zune, Zen, and ext and schedule recording is available

It lacks HDMI input and has no component video. I guess you don't need that for MPEG-4, but I would have liked that option.
