Rumor: Possible Canon EOS-3D Coming
Posted on Jan 22, 08 07:13 PM PDT

Word on the street has it that Canon is prepping a brand new DSLR, and this one will be known as the EOS-3D. Some of the features include 14-bit color processing, a 3" display, a 15.1 megapixel sensor and a complex autofocus system, although it won't be as hip and powerful as the EOS-1D. Whispers are also going around that the EOS-3D will have a sensitivity that hits 6400, along with a special extension that brings it up to a whopping ISO 12800. There is no word on an availability date, let alone a release date for the EOS-3D. We'll just have to be patient and wait for an official announcement I guess.

It would be great if Canon could crawl back the ISO advantage of the D3!
