Samsung Blackjack WM6 Update Breaks MMS
Posted on: January 29, 2008

Our readers have been reporting that the Samsung Blackjack Windows Mobile 6 (WM6) update breaks MMS, at least when we people try to “send”. I tested it and I can confirm that it is the case. Looking at the MMS settings, everything seems normal and properly configured.
Have you experienced the same issue? Did you find something else that broke after the update?

I think you need to change the "password" in the MMS settings to "cingular1" ... you might want to google for what the correct password is. But I had this problem with WM5, put in the password I found online, and it worked fine. Dunno about WM6 tho. But I won't be upgrading due to all the problems I've read about.

I have this exact problem on my brand new BJ II. Deleting AT&T IMS fixed it. Thank's a lot!

It is deleting the first "0" in the settings for the Address 216.155.165.050 every time. Something with this is causing the issue.

I did the upgrade a few weeks ago and it's been a mess. It keeps losing access to the exchange account requiring a hard reboot. Bluetooth headset as well. It will acquire the headset once but then never see it again. reception is about the same. Not happy.

Ever since I upgraded my i607 from wm5 to wm6 I am experiencing bad reception in areas where I have always had great reception. I'm trying to find a solution....anyone?

I can't make calls every now and then. The phone complains about bad reception, before the WM6 upgrade I could use this phone in my room with excellent call quality. But now, I have to hunt for a spot where my phone will get good reception.
CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I want my money back Samsung!

I just tried it and it seemed to work. Have you tried deleting the AT&T IMS from (Settings >> Connections >> GPRS AT&T IMS) The only thing that should be in there is Media Net) Reboot the phone after you delete.
I believe AT&T IMS is used for Video Share so keep that in mind.
