Looks like touching is even sexy in the kitchen, with Siemens introducing the touchSlider cooktops that does away with knobs in the kitchen. Each hotplate or zone on the hob comes with a touchSlider scale that works in pretty much the same way as a laptop touch pad, where gliding your finger across controls just how hot you want the selected zone to get. It makes cooking more "virtual" in a sense - if you've ever played Cooking Mama or its sequel on the Nintendo DS, you'll know what I mean.
