Double Agent: new headphones with SD card from SkullCandy
Posted on Jan 10, 08 09:58 AM PDT

[CES 2008] I met with SkullCandy COO, Jeremy Andrus, and he showed me this new product hidden in a room in the back of the booth. Users load the SD card with music, plug it in the headphones and that’s it, they are ready to go snowboarding. The Double Agent will come with pre-loaded SD cards with songs from SkullCandy’s music partners, that’s even less work to do!
It will ship in March/April 2008, more photos in the full post. Specifications in the full post
Photo in the gallery: thanks to Jessica Gross for modeling with the headphones
Technical specifications
- Can hold any size SD card
- 3 colors; orange/brown, yellow/white, & black
- Light weight
- Rechargeable
- All controls on the side of the headphone

I highly doubt they'd be under $100... Skullcandy isn't cheap, nor is their quality though.
I definately wants them.. too bad Christmas jsut passed lol.

Seems kinda... eh
Doesn't seem that good for practical music uses it seems more an on the go deal.. but then if it costs alot who would risk wearing them out (granted they may have the great warrenty my last skull candy had, physcal damage gets replaced 50% off because they know you are going to use the headphones)
Still unless they can support SDHC and the prices of the phones and sdhc get lower, it seems more like a vanity

With the size of mp3 players being less than 1 inch square, what was the hold up? This should have come out 3 years ago...

Damn, these look really good. I just hope that A) The price is right, and B) The sound quality doesnt make me wanna tear off my ears like the last pair of Skullcandy earbuds I owned.

Does it work as .. um .. headphones? Can I use them as anything BUT a music player?

I've held out on the mp3 player purchase for a while, but now, I think I'm sold. Why did it take so long for this to happen?
