February 2008 will see Sony shipping its DCR-DVD710 Handycam to the masses for $400, although you can pre-order yours from www.sonystyle.com. Some of the features you can expect from this include :-

• 2.7" (16:9) wide LCD touch panel screen
• 1-megapixel CCD imagers and 25x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom lenses
• Built-in zoom microphone
• Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound
• Comes out of standby mode in less than a second
