Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman phone

Jan 6, 08 06:19 PM PDT

Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman phone [CES 2008] Sony announced the Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman phone that will be available sometime in Q2 2008 for approximately $99 after an operator rebate and subsidies. You cna pick from three colors then - Fancy Red, Rocky Silver and Intense Black. This tri-band HSDPA, quad-band EDGE slider handset comes with the following features :-

  • Shake Control
  • 2.2" display
  • Built-in motion sensor with accelerometer for tilt gaming
  • Integrated stereo speakers
  • 3.2 megapixel camera
  • Memory Stick Micro media slot

Shake control and built-in motion sensor? If my memory serves me correctly, Sony did chide the Wii about their "gimmicky" controls, and here they are playing catch-up by implementing such controls on their handset while trying to tout this feature as something new in the market. Where's the innovation, Sony?

Sony Corp. as in the group that looks after the PS3 is a different company to Sony Ericsson.
Dunno how great that shake control will be but the motion sensing is an awesome feature. Love it in the K850i and W910i.
This is going to be my girls next phone that's for sure
