Soundmaster Projection Alarm Clock

Waking up is never easy, so the Soundmaster Projection Alarm Clock is here to help jolt you out of bed. Not only does it come with an iPod dock, you also get a projection alarm clock that tells you the time in a really huge font size the moment you open your eyes, so that you'll learn to regret downing all 10 pints in a row last night while consciously knowing you have a long day of work ahead of you this morning. Interested? The farsighted-friendly Soundmaster Projection Alarm Clock retails for $78.99 each.

The concept of this clock is great, but I am having troubles with the alarm. I'll turn the volume down really low, but when the alarm goes to my iPod, the volume shoots back up to the maximum, blaring unbearably in the morning. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any ideas for how to fix it?
