[CES 2008] For those who want to live surrounded by gadgets no matter what time of the day it is, there is always the Starry Night Sleep Technology Bed developed by Leggett & Platt. What looks like a plain double bed has more than meets the eye, to borrow a line from Optimus Prime. Known as the "world's smartest, sexiest bed", you get the following :-

• Personal theatre system (audio & video)
• iPod dock
• 1.5TB of storage space (40,000 songs)
• Internet connectivity (can't you just quit thinking about e-mails when you sleep?)
• Diagnostic tools that monitor your body temperature and movements

I don't know about you, but forking out anywhere from $20,000 to $50,000 (depending on features) for this sounds nuts. You could probably deck out your room with the above mentioned for a fraction of the cost, and can upgrade various components where and when you like.
