Variety of Limepc devices on parade
Jan 7, 08 02:57 PM PDT
[CES 2008] Here are more Limepc devices on display - and they are the Limepc UMPC, the Limepc HandheldPC and the Limepc PalmPC (from big to small size as depicted). They all do not come with any sort of keyboard, so your guess is as good as mine - they all boast a touchscreen display. You can attach a USB keyboard to these in order to type your documents as well as manage all other office work, but don't even think about getting a spot of serious gaming in (Bejeweled and other browser-based games ought to be fine). All of them run on LimeOS as the operating system of choice, and you get a suite of applications that does word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. Would be interesting to see which market segment these fit in. These won't be out in the market anytime soon. Below are the common specifications that all of them share.
- Freescale MPC5121e mobileGT processor
- MicroUSB 2.0 host jack
- 3.5mm audio out jack
- 8GB/16GB NAND Flash (HandheldPC and PalmPC only)
- 30GB/80GB/100GB SATA hard drive (UMPC only)
- WiFi 802.11b/g
- Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
- Freescale MPC5121e mobileGT processor
