Vuzix Head Mounted Display

Most head mounted displays that we have seen in the past actually cater for the iPod, but Vuzix has come up with the AV-920-C that was specially designed for use with video game consoles. Guess this device will bring a whole new level of immersion to folks who game with their Xbox 360, Wii and PS3.
We tried it at CES and although it is better than past attempt, we think that the resolution is too low and that it is not as comfy to play with as a monitor. It solves however, a problem when playing split-screen games. It’s a lot harder to peek at what the adversary is doing
- 640 x 480 resolution
- Possibility to split the image in 4 parts for multiplayer games
- Lithium ion battery good for up to 6 hours
- 6.35cm from the eyes
- Viewing angle of 32 degrees
- 82 grams
