17-inch Panasonic Monitor Costs A Bomb
Posted on Feb 22, 08 07:08 AM PDT

How much does a 17" LCD monitor cost these days? A couple of hundred would be about right, and most folks would settle for at least 19" anyways. Why then, does this 17" LCD monitor from Panasonic cost a whopping $5,000? Well, the answer is pretty simple - the Panasonic BT-LH1760 was specially designed for commercial photo and video editing, featuring a native resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, which Panasonic claims is a "faithful color reproduction with twice the response speed of other currently available professional LCD monitors". I don't know - $5,000 is some serious amount of coin to drop.
