Bluetooth Piggybacks On WiFi
Feb 10, 08 07:35 PM PDT

Bluetooth technology could be speeded up next year by taking advantage of WiFi connectivity that already come with many gadgets these days. According to Michael Foley, director of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, "the first devices with the technology could be on the market in the middle of next year. The industry group behind Bluetooth, which has more than 10,000 member companies, plans to announce Monday that it is pursuing the technology and will make it available next year." We will probably see single chips that merge both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity in the future instead of running both functions in separate chips today. I don't know about you, but I'm all for faster connectivity.
