Fujitsu P1620 is Smaller and Cheaper than the MacBook Air
Posted on Feb 1, 08 11:45 AM PDT

Users who are searching an ultra-mobile laptop will want to look at the Fujitsu P1620. Following the steps of the P1610, some people would compare this laptop to the MacBook Air. Here are the highlights:
| MacBook Air | Fujitsu P1620 | |
| CPU | 1.6Ghz | 1.2Ghz |
| Display | 13.3" | 8.9" |
| Thickness | 0.76” | 1.4" |
| Tablet PC | No | Yes |
| Replaceable Battery | No | Yes |
| Price | $1799 | $1599 |
Quite frankly I think that they are in different category. Simply because of the screen size, they offer such a different experience, I don’t think that customers will really consider these two when purchasing. The Sony Vaio TZ would be a better match to the MacBook Air – see our comparison.
Update: I originally inverted the prices for the Macbook Air and the Fujitsu P1620 in the table. It is correct now - apologies.

Just as a note, OSX86 is now running well on my p1620, minus wifi but even the touchscreen works!

Yes, but you can run OSX86 on it as long as you put an apple sticker on to satisfy the EULA :)

Everything that's bad in this world is due to people like this. What a ridiculous comparison.

But it is also thicker, slower, smaller screen and more expensive... but you can swivel the screen! exactly they are 2 different machines, so why this non sense article?

How is this a comparison when the most important information is left out???
BATTERY RUNTIME!!! How long will they run on a charge?
Given the Fugitsu's slower CPU clock, and smaller screen, it should get more time from a battery rated to have the same capacity as the MacBook Air.
Most people will already know they run different operating systems, but what about connections?? USB, Firewire, MiniPCI?
This is less a comparison than a micro ad for both products..
