HD DVD Fire Sales
Posted on Feb 19, 08 07:40 PM PDT

If you're curious and have a little bit of money to burn, why not take advantage of the HD DVD fire sale that is currently happening? Circuit City is selling the Toshiba HD-A3 for a mere $99 (including shipping), and they're kind enough to throw in 7 free movies. That's quite the bargain, and you get to give the look and sound of perfect a last hurrah. I'm interested to know at what price point are you willing to pick up an HD DVD player? Anyways, the HD-A3 would make a great DVD player as well since it can upconvert standard-def DVDs to grace your spanking new HDTV. I also wonder when will the day arrive where Blu-ray players dip below the $100 mark.

$59.95. There are aleady excellent upconverting DVD players going for $79.95 at Amazon.com. To get me looking past them, I'd need a better pricing incentive. And I wouldn't want any free HD-DVDs since all of the movies available in that format are a waste of time.

I would love to see HD-DVD in the 30$-50$ range and still have 5-7 movies
