I don't really fancy over-the-head headphones, but apparently, there must be a fair bit of folk who love this design, which explains similar headsets being marketed by different manufacturers. Targeting the more active crowd, each pair of MDR-AS100Ws come with a single-side 2-foot cord for sports usage, while an extension cord measuring 2 feet is also available for general use. If you want to take advantage of its water-resistant design, I suggest getting a waterproof case for your iPod or go one up by purchasing a waterproof MP3 player instead. With three sizes of earbuds to choose from (S, M, L), the MDR-AS100W is tipped to hit the streets this March for approximately $100 a pop.
