OtterBox 1936 Protects BlackBerry Pearls

There is a new OtterBox 1936 protective case released, and this time round it doesn't keep anything with the "i" prefix dry. Instead, it will be the new BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and 8130 smartphones that will benefit from such protection. You will still be able to access the trackball, sync/charge USB port, camera and self-portrait mirror with the OtterBox 1936 though. Instead of just settling for boring black, why not choose the honeybee colors of black and yellow instead? Below are some features for this $49.95 case :-

  • Layer 1: Thermal formed protective clear membrane to safeguard screen and keyboard against scratching as well as dust and dirt intrusion.
  • Layer 2: Hi-impact polycarbonate shell.
  • Layer 3: Silicone skin absorbs bump and shock (silicone includes innovative retaining features to hold it in place).
  • Donaldson vents on speaker phone, headset speaker, and microphone.
  • Sync/charge jack accessible via silicone plug.
  • Sound transmits through the case.
  • You can still use the trackball, camera, flash and vanity mirror THROUGH the OtterBox.
  • Includes holster style swivel belt clip.

This Product is Very well made. It is rare that I post review for anything, but after using it, I feel compelled to tell anybody that is considering buying one that its money well spent. One down side is the swivel belt clip. The phone does not stay in it very well and could use a better method. I will not be using the clip so it does not matter.
