Sony DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver
Posted on Feb 26, 08 05:13 AM PDT

Sony has introduced its new DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver that boasts the ability to receive streamed music from compatible cell phones, notebooks and MP3 players. This is the first outing for such a device for Sony, and it automatically turns any pair of headphones without Bluetooth capability into an instant wireless stereo headset. It can be clipped onto your clothing or attached to an arm band, making it extremely portable. all you need to do is plug your headphones of choice into its stereo mini-jack, pair the receiver with a compatible Bluetooth device and you're good to go. Controls are a snap with its toggle system. Each $130 purchase comes with a discrete, embedded microphone which makes it perfect to entertain those hands-free calls while you're busy concentrating on the road. The Sony DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver will hit the streets this March.

FYI-- I have been using the Sony vgp-brm1 for almost a year. it does exactly the same things you are describing and it does them very well. This, then, isn't the 'first such outing for such a device" but at least the second.
