Sony PFR-V1 Personal Field Speakers

Sony's PFR-V1 Personal Field Speakers were specially designed to envelop your ears with a listening field, where audio is projected via its two 1" die-cast aluminum speakers which are connected to a headband made out of lightweight duralumin metal. Whenever you wear the band on your head, the speakers will look as though they are floating right in front of your ears, courtesy of the silicone rubber fittings on the band. Audio is then directed from the front of the speakers toward your ear canal for an optimum listening experience. While mid- and high-range audio frequencies are aimed toward the outer ear, the ear canal will receive bass frequency sound delivered directly through the extended bass reflex ducts. The AA battery-powered PFR-V1 personal field speakers will be released this April for about $500.
