SuperDrive Replacements For Macs
Posted on Feb 14, 08 09:44 AM PDT

I have been shopping for a super drive replacement, because the one in our MacBook Pro doesn’t work (it never worked in fact). Because it takes ages for Apple to replace it, I thought that I would do it myself. This morning, OWC announced their new SuperDrive replacements for the entire Mac family. Desktop drives cost $30 and laptop ones go for $110 to $120.
We haven’t tested any OWC’s drives, but that’s pretty much a commodity, so I would expect it to “just work”.

well I'm confused... I eagerly clicked on the link because I need a new internal optical drive for my Macbook, but their page only lists drives for PowerPC Macs.
*disappointed*
