Yahoo Discontinues Music Service, Will Send Customers to Rhapsody
Posted on Feb 4, 08 10:45 AM PDT

I can’t seem to read three headlines in my feed reader without seeing Yahoo in the title. It is reported that Yahoo will cancel its Unlimited Music service (I’m a subscriber) and direct users to Rhapsody. The terms of the deal are undisclosed. This will happen this summer, if the report is correct.
For users, that means that subscription fees will go from $9 (Yahoo) to $13 (Rhapsody) per month. Stay tuned because anything can happen, depending on who buys/saves Yahoo – or may be Yahoo will simply choose to save itself. [photo from portfolio.com]
