Apple to Ban 3rd-Party Music Apps

Apple has released a statement saying it will ban all third party applications that feature music playback capability on its iPhone. This is very much in line with Steve Jobs' image of being a control freak, and certain segments of Apple fanboys might have cause for complain as this is a total U-turn from the time Apple mentioned they would allow third party applications. This move might not be too popular, but one can't blame Apple too much as they need to guard their iTunes baby as well.

If you can´t blame apple for this, you can´t blame apple when they ban 3rd-party music players on their macs in the near future.. (video players will be banned aswell.. gotta protect apples video rental business...)
