GM Corporation Slim LP PC Case

GM Corporation took the opportunity at CeBIT 2008 to introduce its Slim LP PC case range that comes with an external optical disc drive. Won't these just add up to the same amount of bulk in the end? I guess if you don't really install programs that often, then having one of these would make perfect sense if you want to save space. Otherwise, I don't think throwing in an optical disc drive of sorts into a home PC will actually mean you lose space to transport new furniture from Ikea to your abode. Still, these new cases are head turners and from what I can see, they're fingerprint magnets as well, glossy surface and all.
