Industrial Espionage in LG May Lead to a Billion Dollars Loss to Korean Economy

An ex-LG employee was indicted by Korea in a case of industrial espionage. The employee has allegedly provided 1182 computer files to a Chinese company called Changhong-Orion PDP-Chaihong which is said to have used the information to copy LG’s production technology.
Changhong-Orion PDP-Chaihong is said to have provided ample benefits the spy:
- $300,000 per year (not including the LG pay)
- An apartment
- A Car
