Internet Access From Chrysler
Posted on Mar 23, 08 07:24 PM PDT

Inflight Internet access we know, but in-car Internet access is still relatively new unless you have the technical know-how to cobble something together. Chrysler will be throwing in this feature to existing vehicles sometime later this year, enabling passengers to surf thanks to signals from cell phone towers. Since nothing good is free in this world, a subscription-based model will be implemented to ensure that coverage remains uninterrupted. Guess one of the last bastions of Internet connectivity will be falling as this technology takes off, and the car's cigarette lighter port might just see more use than charging iPods and cell phones from this time onwards.
