Jamo has a brand new range of AV units available for the masses, with the DMR70 leading the pack. This 5.1-channel DVD receiver brings to the table 5 x 65W power, Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1, and Dolby Pro-Logic II decoding, upscaling of DVDs to either 720p or 1080i HD resolution through its HDMI output, and support for DivX, WMA, SVCD, MP3 and JPEG file formats. It is a classic example of brains and brawn coming together in a single package, measuring a mere 55mm high. It can be accompanied by any one of Jamo's speaker sets, ranging from the entry level A 102HCS5 speakers for £549.99. If you want a little more oomph, there is the A 400 series speakers featuring a powered 200W subwoofer, retailing from £699.99 to £899.99.
