KDDI W61CA Waterproof Phone Internals
Posted on Mar 17, 08 06:41 AM PDT

Our friends from Nikkei Electronics look inside the Waterproof W61CA mobile phone. The first such phone that we have seen was the Casio GzOne in Tokyo. We know that mobile users like to have their phones everywhere, but do you think that the shower should be off-limit? I personally like the idea of having a waterproof phone, even if I don’t bathe with it.

This is actually not a bad idea at all and I hope to see more phones made waterproof. Just about everyone has there entire life stored on cellphones these days, with sometimes hundreds of numbers. And at least from what I know there is no easy way to back cellphones up. Crush and water damage seem to be the number 1 killers of cell phones :-(
