Nuvi 205 and Nuvi 205W

New entry-level GPS units from Garmin! The 205W has a wider display, but other than that their specifications are the same:

  • Real-Time Traffic Updates
  • MSN Direct content
  • 333Mhz Processor
  • $213 (Nuvi 205) and $266 (Nuvi 205W)

Called Garmin on 5/15/08. Rep was really nice, said that I can 'pre-order' from some sites, but for now the 205 still hasn't hit store shelves. He did say it should be out this quarter still. My guess is we will see it on May 31st. :)

Here is the answer I received from Garmin on April 25th 2008.
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
I will be happy to help you with this. The Nuvi 205w is set to be released sometime before June. I wish I had more information for you, but we do not have a set date yet.
With Best Regards,

Does anybody know when the nuvi 205W will be available? The Garmin website says 2nd quarter 08, but that could be anywhere from April-June.
