Odyssey Media Hub Supports P2P Now
Mar 12, 08 06:59 PM PDT

Helios Labs has just released a software update for its Odyssey Media Hub, enabling it to support both BitTorrent and ED2K P2P protocols. The whole point behind this update is to enable users to configure media downloads through a Web browser, allowing them to watch completed downloads at a more convenient time, all from the comfort of their living room TV without having to boot up a computer. I guess this is a great arrangement for folks to select a bunch of downloads before they hit the sack, and by the time they wake up tomorrow morning or head back from the office, those shows are all ready to be watched. Rinse, cycle and repeat. The Odyssey Media Hub is currently being offered on a promotional price of $189, but you'll need to get your own hard drive (it supports up to 1TB of storage space).
