OLPC Overclocked

The OLPC has lost its innocence, as it was only a matter of time before somebody took the time and trouble to overclock it so that the 433MHz speed is relevant to the 21st century instead of being stuck in the world of Pentium IIs and IIIs. All you need to do is to write a specific MSR (Model Specific Register) at the open firmware prompt and you're good to go. To date, informal testing has managed to see a 30% improvement in processor speed while memory speed managed to touch 433MHz from the standard 233MHz.

1. Type "4c000014" and press
2. Type "rdmsr" and press
3. Type "u." and press (a hex number will be displayed)
4. Again, type "u." and press (a second hex number will be displayed, write it down)
Now its time to overclock. For this to work, you must have a developer key, or have previously disabled security on your OLPC.
