SanDisk FlashBack Adapter
Posted on Mar 4, 08 09:27 AM PDT
The SanDisk FlashBack Adapter sounds like a device that comes in handy only when a catastrophe happens - it fits snugly into the ExpressCard slot of your notebook and will continue to back up and encrypt critial data onto an SD memory card automatically, ensuring that nothing gets lost in the unfortunate even where you accidentally spill some liquid all over your notebook. You will be able to choose the type of data that you want to undergo continuous and automatic backup. With all the copying done running in the background, chances are you might experience a slight system slowdown whenever files are transferred. Each purchase of the SanDisk FlashBack Adapter comes with a two-year warranty, a mini-CD containing the backup software and a user’s guide. Shipping begins in Q2, as the FlashBack Adapter retails for $29.99. [Press Release]

Sounds good, but where can I get one. Very few retailers or online merchants even have them listed, and those that do don't have them in stock. Direct from Sandisk online is no better. Are these even selling yet?
