Shape Shifting Dishwasher
Mar 3, 08 09:01 PM PDT

Inventor Paul Frigout of Coventry University has filed a patent that shows a movable partition which allows one to change the size of the washing compartment in a dishwasher in order to accommodate different size loads. This way, you will be able to save space in the kitchen whenever it is just you and the missus, but when hosting a party, you can then expand it to cater for the extra workload. Such an idea will also help you cut down on the amount of water used while providing additional space to store clean dishes in the other compartment. No word on when such an invention will be released, but it surely sounds very doable.
