Zana Wood Engraved USB Flash Drive
Posted on Mar 13, 08 09:54 AM PDT

Now here is a USB flash drive that you don't see every day - the Zana wood engraved USB flash drive. While USB 2.0 won't run any faster with wood, silver and precious stones lined up on it, at the very least it helps show off your class (and bank balance), where $59 will net you 1GB of storage space. If you want to emboss your own name and other personal details on the front, be prepared to fork out even more money. Hopefully the termites won't get to my data in due time.

Hey, you can also get some more natural looking wooden sticks at www.flashsticks.co.uk These are much cheaper but so far only 1GB. I like the idea.

I was just sitting here, looking at my stack of functional, yet ugly, flash drives, and thought "Wouldn't it be cool if these were made of wood. So what does a person do when they fancy an idea at 4:55 on a work day... kill a few minutes Googleing odd stuff. And someone else had the same cool idea. these look very cool, maybe I'll head off to my workshop tonite and noodle around a bit and transplant a helpless 2GB chip into this nice piece of walnut I have laying around. Cheers!
