AMD Intros Computer Brand

AMD has just rolled out its first computer brand that targets SMBs, getting design and sales help from its major chip customers like Dell Inc. The AMD Business Class desktop PCs will roll out first, followed closely by notebooks sometime in the second half of 2008. Do you think this new product line will see AMD gain some ground back from its biggest rival, Intel, who commands the majority of the market share? Only time will tell, and the Business Class does look good occupying a niche market that will soon expand to cater to larger corporate clients. Processors used in the desktops include AMD Phenom X3 triple-core, AMD Phenom X4 quad-core processors and AMD Athlon X2 dual-core processors.
