DoCoMo to Launch Updated Raku-Raku Voice-To-Text Phone

Published on 04/14/2008

The DoCoMo (Japan’s largest wireless carrier) Raku-Raku Phone Premium, also known as F884i becomes official today. It can convert voice-to-text when editing emails, which might come in handy, if it works, that said. While editing an email, users can press a “voice input” button and speak to have their voice translated to text. The voice is sent to a server that performs the recognition before sending it back to the phone as text.
