EMC Buys Iomega for $213M
Apr 9, 08 12:05 AM PDT

It is official: EMC has bought Iomega for $213M. After several attempts, EMC continues its foray in the consumer storage (I’m a big fan of Mozy.com, the online backup service).
EMC was a stock market favorite in the late nineties but its stock price never really recovered from the 2000 bust. I guess that EMC, like many others, would like to grab some serious share in the consumer (or small business) market because that is where spending is.
