Firefox 3 Beta 5 is Smaller, Better
Posted on Apr 3, 08 12:56 PM PDT

In case you missed it, Firefox 3 Beta 5 has been released and features numerous fixes and performance optimizations. From my point of view, much higher performance and dramatically smaller memory footprint are the most important points. Firefox 2 became a memory hog and if it wasn’t for the few plug-ins that I love, I would have switched. I was even using IE to browse my feeds with Google Reader.
Now I’m waiting for the plug-ins to catch up. Most still don't work with version 3.0Your Comments

FF3b5 is very nice, notably better than b4 which in turn was much better than FF2.
Most addons work just fine with FF3 if you open the xpi file up and edit the maxversion tag in the install.rdf file.
