NEC Conjures full HD-compatible LCD Module

The wizards at NEC have manufactured a new 2.7" LCD module that is capable of delivering a maximum resolution of 960 x 540 pixels courtesy of a super high pixel density of 412 pixels-per-inch. Known as a quarter high-definition (QHD) panel, it is compatible with full HD resolution, bringing a boost in both color gamut and luminance whenever used. I wonder when will future cell phones and camcorders sport this new display?
Publisher's note:Progress towards higher resolution for small displays is very appreciable, but it will certainly not improve your movie experience that much. Instead we should look at text information display. One could either display more text, or have text that is more legible, thanks to anti-aliasing or other techniques that work better with more pixels.
