Nokia “Shoot to Translate” Helps Getting Around in Foreign Countries
Apr 7, 08 12:45 PM PDT

Many travelers find it really weird to be in a country where they don’t know how read or speak the language. That happened to me while being in Japan. I wish that I had something like Nokia’s shoot and translate: snap a photo of Chinese characters and it will (try to) translate back in English.
We don’t know if this will support other languages, or if it will be productized, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
