RED RAY Optical Disk Drive
Posted on Apr 14, 08 06:30 PM PDT

RED RAY has just rolled out a new optical disk drive that claims to playback 4K video from the RED ONE, 3K video from the new Scarlet and the usual assortment of HD formats from RED Disc and RED Express media, in addition to native R3D RAW files from CompactFlash. It seems that 5K video from the new EPIC is not supported, which could be a bummer for some. Specifications have not yet been finalized though, so stay tuned as more developments occur.
