Sharp Willcom D4 WSO16SH Video

Apr 15, 08 12:37 AM PDT

Our friends from akihabaranews have an exclusive hands-on video of the Sharp Sharp Willcom D4 WSO16SH. It ha been shot during a press conference and it shows that the Willcam D4 is more a PDA like a phone, as expected with the earlier specs. It does show Vista running somewhat normally, although I doubt that the experience is “ideal”, given how little memory the D4 WSO16SH has. However, it is still very nice to see what’s possible with Intel’s ATOM processor. It’s impressive.

I think this is a UMPC more mainstream users have been looking for. People just want a pocket size, clamshell that has full windows that they can carry in their jacket pocket. I hope more OEM's will make UMPC's like this D4! I have been looking at UMPC's but nothing seemed small enough to be portable nor have a good input design until this one!
