Sony Thinks about HDTVs with Integrated Blu-Ray. No Thanks

That’s according to Ryoji Chubachi, the CEO of Sony Electronics. Sony thinks that there is a market for such TVs, and they might be right for Japan, where apartments can be very small. However, even when I lived in a tiny apartment in Europe, I hated the idea of having an integrated player (VHS, DVD…) embedded in my TV.
Sony wants to grab as much "Blu-Ray hardware" market share as it can in 2008, so I guess that these TVs will show up sometimes this year, probably in Q4.
