Tyre Pressure Checked Automatically
Posted on Apr 15, 08 11:47 AM PDT

With many miles left to go before you arrive at your destination, a busted tyre is the last thing on your mind. Ford aims to keep its customers happy with a new sophisticated tyre pressure monitoring system that is capable of knowing when a tyre is deflating, triggering an in-car warning system which alerts the driver to jump into action - that is, to pull over and check on the vehicle's condition. There will be two levels of tyre pressure monitoring technology, ensuring customers will benefit from effective and secure systems that deliver the most bang for your buck. Each wheel contains sensors that measure the actual pressure inside, sounding off the alarm chime and visual warning on the instrument display should pressure be lost all of a sudden. How about future tyres that feature nanobots to perform on-the-spot repairs?

This has been out for years. My Chrysler has it and it's a 2005.
